International Contemporary Art Exhibition

Celebration of light is an ancient tradition representing people’s desire to spread light and warmth during the dark winter months.  In ancient times it was believed by many cultures that the winter solstice was a time for celebration of lights and we continue this tradition across the world today.  The theme for this winter’s exhibition at La Galleria Pall Mall in London is the celebration of Lights.  The opening date of the exhibition is close to this year’s Winter Solstice.

La Galleria Pall Mall is located inside the famous John Nash Royal Opera Arcade in St James’s.  The arcade is specialized in high quality boutiques holding very special items. The Gallery is only minutes away from the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square.  It is equipped with the most modern hanging and lightning devices (www.lagalleria.org).  It will be open to the public every day from 10:00 in the morning till 18:00.

The exhibition will take place between 8 – 14th December, 2013.   The opening event will take place in the evening of the 9th December (Monday), between 6.30pm – 9.30pm.

Singer/ songwriter Frazer Kennedy (vocals and guitar) and guitarist Rick Joseph will entertain you at La Galleria Pall Mall.   A new CD by Frazer Kennedy “High Time” will be launched on the night. 

Paintings, sculpture, prints and photography by twenty-seven artists from fourteen countries will make fantastic Christmas gifts.  Artists include: Aghzout Abdelkhalek, Angelika Kahl, Armato Vincenzo, Bettina Hesselhof, Bratislav Leonid Musicki, Carmen Rantzuch-Doll, Carol Wagstaff, Chris Bleicher, Claire Stael, Elena Churnosova,  Heleen Mos,  Hermesimages,  Joelle Kem Lika, Jolien Wesselink, Lauren Wondra, Marja Vermeij, Marina Aldegheri, Marissa Calbet, Sahatarch Pittarong, Sibilla Bjarnason, Sirkka Laakkonen, Soli Madsen, Sue Hall, Thomas Modschiedler, Tomonori Nishimura, Tor Alvestad and Viktor Majdandzic.  Artists come from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Thailand, The Netherlands and the UK.

 

Eternal Eve 2013 Exhibition in London

Eternal Eve 2013 international contemporary art exhibition is coming at La Galleria Pall Mall on 11 – 16 March with the Opening Night on Monday, 11 March from 6:30pm till 9:30pm.

Inspired by female form, it is closely following the 8th March and the UK Mother’s Day celebrations and represents a wide variety of styles, technique and media to show women of different age, origin and background and to bring forward the role of a woman in the contemporary society.

Exhibition combines figurative and abstract  works as it shows women as seen by both male and female artists from 10 countries: UK, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Russia, Ukraine, France, Italy, India, Sweden and South Africa.

It is curated by Zina Bercovici.

Eternal Eve 2013 artists include: Shiri Achu, Daniel Jordanov Alberchy, Saya Becuwe, Christian Nguyen, Mirella Masiero, Abhijit Bhattacharya, Irina Kvetka, Valentini Ferdinando, Giacomo Sonaglia, Rosa Iorio, Cascetti Matteo, Elena Churnosova, Helena Vogelzang, Elena Chileeva and Josephine Bergman.

La Galleria Pall Mall is inside the Royal Opera Arcade, a step away from Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square. Nearest tube stations are: Piccadilly Circus, Charing Cross and Embankment. You can enter the arcade both from Pall Mall, across the road from the Institute of Directors, or from Charles II Street.
